North Webster Community Public Library — Friends Of The Library Book Sale Oct. 26-28

NORTH WEBSTER — The Friends of the Library will be hosting its fall book sale Oct. 26-28. Book sale times are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. Come out for a great selection of books, plus many other items as well. This sale will also include many puzzles — perfect for those fall and winter evenings at home.
The following activities are set to take place at North Webster Community Public Library. Attendees do not need to have a library card to participate in any of these events.
Adult Events
NWCPL is hosting “A Matter of Balance” at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23. Call the library if you are interested in the January session of this event.
Writer’s Corner, 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23. This month’s writing theme is “a tale of terror … from the monster’s perspective.” Come to share your writing and get inspiration from others.
The library will be hosting a special Halloween escape room centered around “Five Nights at Freddy’s.” Can you escape the creepy office before the animatronics catch you? Time slots include 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. Register in advance by calling the library.
During the Friday Night Fright Feature, the library will be showing “Ghostbusters.” Join in at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, for this special after-hours movie.
Teen Events
The library is hosting a special teen escape room to celebrate the movie release of “Five Nights at Freddy’s.” Join in at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23.
Teen Wellness Circle, 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. Join fellow teens to engage in insightful discussions about physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. This program is geared towards students in grades 6-12.
The Teen Advisory Board will be meeting at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25.
Youth Events
PAWS to Read, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23. Register your child for a 15-minute time slot to practice reading skills by reading to a therapy dog.
Baby and Toddler Time will be held at both 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. Join Miss Cathy for songs and stories geared toward children birth through 36 months. Registration is requested, but visitors are always welcome.
Preschool Story Time will be held at both 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25. Join Mrs. Pam to sing songs, read books, share fingerplays and learn through fun literacy activities and crafts. This program is geared toward children ages 3-6, but all family members are invited. Registration is requested, but visitors are always welcome.
