Will NBA All-Star Game Bounce Back To Old Format?
Staff Report
INDIANAPOLIS — Will next February’s NBA All-Star Game in Indy feature a throwback format?
It’s unclear, but NBA Commissioner Adam Silver suggested in an ESPN interview Oct. 18 that the league was considering returning to an East vs. West format for the All-Star Game.
The current format for the game features top vote-getters from each conference serving as captains and drafting their own teams.
Silver called the East vs. West format “more traditional,” according to reporting by the Associated Press, and “something we are looking at.”
The All-Star Game is set for Feb. 16-18 in Indianapolis.
