NORTH WEBSTER — The parking lot was full and the line was out the door for the hottest ticket in town — North Webster Community Center’s annual auction and dinner fundraiser Saturday evening, Oct. 7.
The event featured silent and live auctions, a catered buffet-style dinner, and a big prize raffle.
The dinner, catered by Chubbie’s, was also part of the NWCC’s annual fundraiser.
The evening included a silent auction featuring over 100 items, such as gift baskets, art, gift cards, a hammock and a variety of other donated items. This year, the silent auction was online.
A live, paddle auction, with more than 50 additional items, drew bidders who wanted a chance to win such items as two Trek eBikes, two Easy Go electric golf carts, opening day Chicago Cubs tickets, an Indy car experience, a kayak, Grossnickle Eye Lasik surgery, a 9-millimeter Smith and Wesson, and two tickets to a Taylor Swift concert, among other items.
The live auction was conducted by Brian Wuthrich of Hahn Auctioneers.
Two lucky winners went home with groceries for a year and gas for a year.
All proceeds from the fundraiser support NWCC and its year-long programming and events. For more information or to donate, visit www.nwcommunitycenter.org or its Facebook page.
