UPDATE: Driver Arrested For Alleged OWI After Vehicle Hits Joe’s Kids’ Building

WARSAW — A driver was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail for an alleged operating while intoxicated charge after his vehicle struck the Joe’s Kids’ building in Warsaw on Saturday, Sept. 30.
The wreck occurred at 5:28 p.m.
According to a Warsaw Police Department accident report, Billy Gene Oliver Jr., 39, St. Anne Street, Chesterton, was traveling east on US 30 near Springhill Road, Warsaw, in a white 2008 Ford F-150.

He told police he had been having a hands-free phone conversation with his wife and wasn’t sure how he wrecked his vehicle.
Police observed from tire tracks that Oliver’s truck went into the ditch, then hit the Joe’s Kids’ building at 902 Provident Drive, Suite C, which two witnesses’ accounts also corroborated.
Oliver was later booked into the jail.
