John W. Phillips Jr., 82, Columbia City, died at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

He was born Feb. 14, 1941. On Aug. 28, 1974, he married Mary Bellinger, who survives.

He also is survives by his children, Rick Phillips, South Whitley, Mike (Susan) Phillips, Columbia City, Selena Simmons and Christine (Nyan) Aung, both of Fort Wayne, and Brian Phillips and Ryan (Anna) Phillips, both of Columbia City; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gloria Zumbrun, Springfield, Ohio.
