Karen Irene Barnhart, 76, Columbia City, died at 3:28 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, at Parkview Whitley Hospital.

She was born March 21, 1947. On May 23, 1970, she married Lloyd J. Barnhart, who survives.

She also is survived by her children, Virginia (Justin) Riffe, Wolf Lake, Dan (Karla) Barnhart, South Whitley, and Matthew (Amy) Barnhart, Brownstown, Mich.; five grandchildren; siblings, Mike (Tanya) Adams, Pierceton, and Marsha (Greg) Reynolds and Deb (Randy) Vanderford, both of Columbia City; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
