WARSAW — Warsaw Community High School’s student council will hold its annual homecoming parade at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29.
The parade will consist of the WCHS official homecoming court and floats featuring the diverse range of clubs and sports at WCHS. The 2023 homecoming float theme is “Movie Night.” Spectators are encouraged to dress as a character from their favorite movie. The parade grand marshal is Deb Sapper, who recently retired from WCHS after working in the media center. She helped countless students throughout her time at WCHS.
The parade will start at the WCHS PAC parking lot, where it will then proceed to Union Street. It will then turn right onto Market Street and later turn left onto Indiana Street. The route will then turn left onto Main Street and continue left onto Columbia Street. The parade will end at the corner of Columbia and Market Streets. Candy will be thrown along the route.
Student council will also be hosting a homecoming alumni dinner in the WCHS cafeteria that same day from 6-7 p.m. Alumni and their families are invited to enjoy dinner before the football game. Tickets are $10 and include two hot dogs, chips, popcorn, and a drink. Tickets can be purchased through the PAC website or by calling the PAC office. All proceeds will be donated to Riley’s Hospital for Children.
