Starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be free food — hot dogs, popcorn lemonade and more; a DJ playing music; a bounce house and activities for kids; and when it gets dark enough, the family friendly movie “Sing” will be projected on the side of the church building.
“Sing” stars Buster Moon, a dapper koala who presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. Buster is an eternal — some might even say delusional — optimist who loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Now faced with the crubling of his life’s ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition.
Bring your family and friends, as well as lawn chairs or blankets.
Atwood Aldersgate United Methodist Church is located at 105 E. Hovey St., across the parking lot from the old school.
In case of bad weather, the food and movie will be moved inside the church.
