Hoosier Colleges Listed On “Best Colleges” Ranking

INDIANA — The U.S. News & World Report has released their 2023-2024 Best Colleges ranking, and 10 Indiana schools have made the list. The report ranks 1,500 colleges and universities with consideration of 19 factors, including graduation rates, faculty research and first-generation student graduation rates.
In past rankings, the report considered class size, faculty with terminal degrees, alumni giving, high school class standing and the proportion of graduates who borrow federal loans. However, they are no longer considered on recent lists.
The University of Notre Dame is the highest-ranked Indiana school on the report, being ranked #20.

- 73. Indiana University — Bloomington
- 201. IUPUI (tie)
- 201. Valparaiso University (tie)
- 216. Ball State University
- 280. Marian University
- 304. Oakland City University (tie)
- 304. University of Indianapolis (tie)
- 382. Indiana State University
The list is topped by Princeton University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Stanford University and Yale University.
