WWFD’s Family Safety Day Fills Center Lake Park

WARSAW — Family Safety Day returned on Saturday, Sept. 16, after being unable to host the event since 2019.
Hosted by Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, this event attracted many families down to Center Lake Park to enjoy several different activities for all ages. Some of these activities involved a fire safety demonstration by Koorsen Fire and Security, Warsaw Police Department’s K-9 unit demonstration, a helicopter landing and a firefighter obstacle course.
Family Safety Day also showcased the newly renovated Zimmer Biomet Center Lake Pavilion hosting a number of different vendors inside.
The safety day kicked off at 11 a.m. and ended at 3 p.m. with hundreds of families coming to participate in the fun activities.
