Fun Continues At The 47th Nappanee Apple Festival

NAPPANEE — The 47th Nappanee Apple Festival is currently in full swing. Downtown Nappanee is full of people enjoying the rides, food, entertainment and vendors selling their wares.
If you’re coming to the festival, be sure to stop by the Apple Festival Information Booths, located at the Depot Gazebo and the Clark Street Gazebo and pick up an information flier so you don’t miss out on any of the fun.
Also visit the Nappanee Store featuring an assortment of apple specialities and load up on those apple goodies such as apple pie, dumplings and apple butter.
Entertainment is being offered on three different performance areas: The Nappanee Public Library Lot; Kountry Cabinets Entertainment Tent, located in Dept Plaza and the Goshen News Stage, located on North Clark Street. The fun doesn’t stop today, Saturday, Sept 16, until 9:30 p.m. when the Gene Mullet band leaves the stage.
Sunday promises more fun with a variety of entertainers. Be sure to check out the XPOGO Stunt Team.
Parking is available in a number of public lots with shuttle service to where all the action is taking place.
- Petra Kristofzski has her face painted at the Nappanee Apple Festival. There are two face painting booths at the festival this year.
- A member of the XPOGO Stunt team does a stunt he calls “The Superman.”
- Kids of all ages enjoyed riding the Merry Go Round.
- Carlies Angels was just one of the performers Saturday afternoon. They take the stage again from 1-3:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, in the Kountry Cabinets Entertianment Tent located in Depot Plaza.
- Cheyenne Nast, 4, focuses on the finish line as she competes in the kids pedal pull. Cheering her on is Troy Zahnder.
- Riders enjoy one of the carnival rides on the midway for this year’s Nappanee Apple Festival.
- Maya Narayan, this year’s Elkhart County Fair Queen, was spotted checking out the wares at a vendor’s booth at the Nappanee Apple Festival.
- A little girl checks out an apple she selected from a bin before going in for that first bite. Bins full of apples are located on several street corners at the Nappanee Apple Festival.
- A member of the XPOGO stunt team flies over a high bar during a performance. The team will be performing several times on Sunday, Sept. 17.
- The Kettle Corn booth was doing a brisk business as these two were kept extremely busy bagging corn.
