Still Time For Some Fun At Food Truck Friday In Milford

MILFORD — Mother Nature provided a pleasant Indian summer night for the September Food Truck Friday in Milford. Crowds gathered downtown to enjoy a variety of treats from various food truck including several offering barbecue or Mexican fare.
Vendors for the evening included: Big C’s BBQ, Hogs R Wild BBQ, Smoked & Fried BBQ, The Twisted Tiki, Gourmet Cart Hot Dogs, Sprinkle Express Ice Cream, The Igloo Ice Cream, The Crazy Cookie Company, Papa’s Dippin’ Donuts, Sweet Goodness, Perfect Twist Pretzels, Home & Flour, Chagos Tacos, Taqueria El Tejano, Rico Suave Group LLC, HH Coffee Co, The Dutch Kernel and Island Flavor
Families found spots to eat along the sidewalks, public benches or took their meal to the inside seating provided by Milford First Brethren Church.
The entertainment for the evening was provided by Tierra Viva Mexican Folkloric Dance Group. Dancers of all ages performed Mexican Folk dances for a nice sized crowd.
Several organizations had booths out highlighting their latest project. Members of the Milford Lions Club were selling raffle tickets for the club’s upcoming gun raffle. Proceeds from the raffle will assist in funding next year’s Milford Fest.
The Van Buren Food Bank was offering mystery grab bags featuring a nice piece of jewelry and essentials such as lotions and lip balm for a free will donation. Funds from the grab bags will help provide Christmas presents for children in the area.
Representatives from Wawasee FFA were also manning a booth for their next project.
There’s plenty of food and other things to do. The fun doesn’t end until 8 p.m.
