Clara Pauline Mitchell, 88, formerly of rural Columbia City, died at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, at Story Point West Assisted Living, Fort Wayne.

She was born Sept. 13, 2023. On Nov. 2, 1957, she married Erwin Leroy “Pete” Mitchell, who survives.

She also is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Thomas) Kessie, Columbia City; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, is handling arrangements.
