Concern Over Sentencing
Dear Editor,
I am writing to you after I just finished reading a current, single sentencing article on Jordan Alexander Scott, 31.
As a victim of domestic abuse, also close to losing my life at the hands of my spouse, while holding one child, and the other 2 feet away, I am EXTREMELY CONCERNED about this sentencing for Mr. Scott. When he is released he will get out and set out to finish his unaccomplished threat/goal. When he does, and this heartbreaking tragedy happens, is that mother and her children’s death going to be on Kosciusko County?
I see no justice or protection done here. My abuser had the same “Protection order” on him by the State of Indiana. He STILL was able to attack several times with that “No-Contact order” etc. I ALMOST DIED IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN BY THE HANDS OF MY EX SPOUSE! he served 3 years. Got out, did OK for a short amount of time to only victimize another woman and her children.
This man has clearly shown the SIGNS. The RED FLAGS. It is alarming and concerning his sentence, makes me worry for his current victims and possible future victims, because he was given several slaps on the wrist. No justice is being served, nor protection.
This is 100% honest, and genuine concern from a victim; as well as a resident of Kosciusko County. This isn’t about me or the neglect I received as a victim all of those years ago in the same county..,but about his victims, plus possible future victims, who are risk as well. Something did not resonate with me when reading this sentencing of a stranger, and leaves another worry to carry.
Please, PLEASE, hear my cry out on this.!?
S.M.
