Gail Denise Helmer, 68, Columbia City, formerly of South Whitley, died at 4:54 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 1, 1954.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachael Helmer, Mishawaka; and sisters, Linda Kalash, Grosse Isle, Mich., Janet Armstrong and Carol Senkbeil.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, is handling arrangements.
