Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 8:33 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 3778 N. 175E, Warsaw. Driver: David E. Freed, 65, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Freed was backing his vehicle into a parking area when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 8:32 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, West CR 1350N, north of North CR 200W, Milford. Drivers: Ronald G. Yoder, 58, West SR 120, Shipshewana; and Sean E. Shumaker, 48, Abbey Drive, Fort Wayne. Yoder was attempting to turn onto North CR 200W but did not see Shumaker’s vehicle, resulting in a head-on collision. Shumaker was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for chest injuries. Damage up to $25,000.
- 2:07 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, East Backwater Road, west of North CR 850E, North Webster. Drivers: Linda G. Kremer, 76, Saddle Court, Indianapolis; and Dominick D. Reynolds, 25, West 2nd Street, Ligonier. Kremer failed to yield the right-of-way to Reynolds’ vehicle, resulting in a head-on collision. The accident caused Reynolds’ vehicle to leave the roadway and hit two trees. Damage up to $10,000.
- 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, North SR 13, south of East Vawter Park Road, Syracuse. Drivers: Patricia S. Serrano Yuzon, 29, East Backwater Road, North Webster; and Justin M. Baum, 19, CR 44, Goshen. Serrano Yuzon’s vehicle rear-ended Baum’s. Damage up to $2,500.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 3:56 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, North SR 13 and East CR 500N, North Webster. Drivers: Joel Warstler, 37, South Maple Street, Pierceton; and Julian Spencer, 33, Fontana Terrace, Sunnyvale, Calif. Warstler’s vehicle rear-ended Spencer’s. Damage up to $1,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 8:52 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, East US 30, east of CR 325E, Pierceton. Driver: Jason J. Hudson, 40, South SR 2, Hebron. Hudson’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 11:27 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, East CR 1300N, west of East Main Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Cathy E. Walley, 67, East CR 1300N, Syracuse; and Jeffrey D. Brunner, 60, East State Camp Road, Columbia City. Walley’s vehicle rear-ended Brunner’s. Damage up to $5,000.
- 1:46 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 601 S. Huntington St., west of East Maple Grove Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Vernon M. Kauffman, 47, South Williams Street, Nappanee; and Timothy A. Buckholz, 41, Stoney Lane Drive, Goshen. Kauffman was backing his vehicle in a parking lot when he hit Buckholz’s vehicle. Damage under $750.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 2:39 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, East Market Street and South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Charlotte Morts, 87, Gussie Court, Warsaw; and Mary Cox, 74, Island View Drive, Warsaw. Morts’ vehicle ran through the stop sign colliding with Cox’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 12:59 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, East Winona Avenue, near South McKinley Street, Winona Lake. Drivers: Corbin B. Harness, 30, East CR 900N, Monon; and Becky S. Rak, 43, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Harness was attempting to turn left onto McKinley Street when his vehicle hit Rak’s. Damage up to $5,000.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 12:04 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 757 W. 18th St., Rochester. Driver: WIlliam Baldwin, 81, Rochester. Baldwin’s vehicle hit two deer.
- 2:14 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 5647 E. 500N, Rochester. Driver: Angela Yates, 47, Rochester. Yates’ vehicle hit a pole.
- 12:14 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1820 Park Road, Rochester. Drivers: Avery Brouyette, 17, Rochester; and Brette Manns, 21, Akron. Brouyette’s vehicle and Manns’ vehicle collided.
- 8:48 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 9815 S. SR 25, Rochester. Drivers: Savanna Armstrong, 34, Rochester; and Brandy Lovell, 34, Kewanna. Armstrong’s vehicle and Lovell’s vehicle were involved in an accident.
