Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

• 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, SR 15 and West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Ann M. Blanton, 32, West Van Buren Street, Leesburg; and Mary J. Adams, 48, South Paxton Drive, Warsaw. Blanton said she was distracted by emergency vehicles. Her vehicle then hit the back of Adams’. Damage up to $5,000.
• 5:09 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 550 W. 300N, Warsaw. Driver: Amanda N. Miller, 31, North Main Street, Bourbon. Aaron B. Loos said he was struck by Miller’s vehicle while working in a manhole. He had a cut on his head and was taken to the hospital. There were no signs reportedly marking work was being done in the manhole. Damage up to $2,500.

Elkhart County

Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

• 7:06 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, the intersection of CR 17 and CR 20, Dunlap. Drivers: Katlin Vanfleeren, 19, Milford; and Anna Mooney, 28, Elkhart. Mooney was traveling south on CR 17 when she hit Vanfleeren’s vehicle. Vanfleeren was turning left from the northbound lane of CR 17 and Vanfleeren’s vehicle overturned as a result of the accident. Mooney was taken to Goshen Hospital for minor mouth injuries from airbag deployment. Vanfleeren was issued a citation for failing to yield the right-of-way while making a left turn.

Fulton County

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 5:26 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 8300 block of South CR 1100W, Kewanna. Driver: Troy A. Smith, 53, Kewanna. Smith’s vehicle hit a deer.
• 3:46 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, Washington Street and West Olson Road, Delong. Driver: Arron E. Klein, 41, Rochester. No further details provided.
• 8:48 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 1718 N. 675E, Kewanna. Driver: Marcelo Martinez, 26, Logansport. Martinez’s vehicle hit a deer.
