SOUTH WHITLEY — The 50th anniversary of Whitko football will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 1.

Festivities are in conjunction with Whitko’s home game against Rochester, which starts at 7 p.m.

Former coaches George Hathaway, Bryan Sprunger and Wayne Swender will be recognized, and former football players, managers and assistant coaches are invited to join the halftime presentation on the field.

Memorabilia will be on display, and items for sale will include spirit wear, football jerseys, helmets and footballs. All funds raised will go to the football program.
