Warsaw’s Ledgeview Brewing To Host Big Brothers Big Sisters Fundraiser Aug. 24
News Release
WARSAW — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana will partner with Ledgeview Brewing Co. for a trivia-themed fundraiser at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at Ledgeview, 975 Warren St., Warsaw.
The cost to play is $5 per person, in teams of four. Prizes will be distributed to the teams in first and second place and a 50/50 raffle drawing will be held. All proceeds will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters to support its mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth in Kosciusko County.
Big Brothers Big Sisters operates through two primary programs. In the community-based program, adult mentors are paired with youth ages 6-13 under the commitment to see each other twice a month for a few hours. Each match is hand-selected based on shared interests, geography and personality.
In the site-based program, also known as Lunch Buddies, volunteers and children meet once a week during the child’s 45-minute lunch break, utilizing resources available within the school. Volunteers may read a book, eat lunch or play games during this time. To sign up to volunteer for either program, visit the website www.bbbsnei.org or contact the Kosciusko County Development Director Tammy Smith at (574) 306-2178.
