SILVER LAKE — Tonya Conley has secured a fourth term as Silver Lake clerk-treasurer as no other candidates filed for the position.
Conley, a Republican, said she opted to run again because she loves her role and wants “to continue investing in my town.”
“We have done a lot of great things for the town, and I would like to continue bringing more services and businesses to the community,” she said.
Some of her goals for her next term include: continuing to gather the appropriate grants to fund the Community Center for both the planning stage and the construction stage, applying for more Community Crossings grants to pave the rest of the streets and taking down some abandoned, dilapidated houses.
Before assuming her position as town clerk treasurer, Conley worked for PNC Bank.
Conley has lived in Silver Lake for the last 16 years with her husband John Conley, who is the fire chief for Silver Lake. Together they have two children and one granddaughter. In Conley’s free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and visiting her granddaughter.
