MILFORD — Tonight’s, Friday, Aug. 18, Food Truck Friday was jam packed with fun family friendly activities and even more school spirit. Food Truck Friday takes place on the third Friday of each month from June to October in downtown Milford from 5-8 p.m.
Among the activities were arts and crafts, corn hole, live music, carnival games, face painting and a dunk tank. At the dunk tank, participants had a chance to dunk some of their favorite Wawasee teachers and administrators, including Chelsea Nyce, Milford Elementary kindergarten teacher; Hope Fiedeke, Milford Elementary third grade teacher; Melissa Possell, Milford Elementary first grade teacher; Lizzie Sayer, Milford Elementary third grade teacher; Michael Casey, Milford Elementary principal; and Dr. Steve Troyer, WCSC superintendent. The live music was provided from the band, Beez and the Rocker.
Food Truck Friday also hosted over 20 different food trucks, with delicious food truck favorites, ranging from pizza, wraps, egg rolls, pretzels, barbecue, and a variety of desserts. Main and Catherine Street were filled with trucks. Anything you craved, you could find.
There is still plenty of time to go downtown, grab a lemon shakeup, get your face painted and dunk your teacher. The next Food Truck Friday will be Friday, Sept. 15 from 5-8 p.m. in downtown Milford. For updates, follow Meet Milford on Facebook.
