Free Programs Offered At Stillwater’s Peggy F. Murphy Center
News Release
FORT WAYNE — The public is welcome to attend several upcoming free programs at Stillwater Hospice’s Peggy F. Murphy Community Grief Center.
Invisible Ink with Kathy Curtis is a four-week writing program to help people process grief. Writing prompts help people write letters to their loved ones who have passed on. Participants are invited to read “Invisible Ink: Reaching Out To Loved Ones In Spirit” by Curtis before the program’s start, but it is not required.
Sessions are 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28. People should RSVP by calling (260) 435-3261 or emailing [email protected] by Friday, Sept. 1, to attend.
Yoga for Respite and Restoration is 5:30-6:20 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays in September through December. No prior experience in yoga is necessary to take the class, but people should bring their own mats.
People should RSVP by calling (260) 435-3261 or emailing [email protected] by the Monday prior to the class offering.
The Death Cafe is 10-11:30 a.m. the second Saturdays of every month. It’s a monthly gathering of individuals to discuss death and dying over coffee, tea and baked goods. It’s not a grief support group.
People should RSVP by calling (260) 435-3261 or emailing [email protected] by the Wednesday prior to the meeting date.
The center is located at 5920 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne.
