Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 11:47 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, East CR 700N and North Harper Road. Driver: David Turnpaugh, 24, SR 25, Mentone. Turnpaugh’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
• 3:27 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, North SR 13 and East CR 100N, Syracuse. Leighton Cantu, 17, T43 Lane, Leesburg; and William Abbott, 42, North Third Street, Pierceton. Cantu’s vehicle collided with Abbott’s school bus. The bus was replaced by another bus per school policy. Damage up to $10,000.
• 2:56 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, East Epworth Forest Road and North Panorama Drive, North Webster. Drivers: Jordan Karczewski, 24, New Road, Lakeville; and Dustin Morr, 24, West CR 200N, Cromwell. Karcszewski was driving when Morr’s motorcycle pulled out in front of Karczewski’s vehicle and Karczewski was unable to avoid the collision. Morr was transported to a hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
• 8:16 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, East Pierceton Road and East Washington Road, Pierceton. Driver: Shelby Smiley, 25, Lynnwood Drive South, Warsaw. Smiley’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
• 3:08 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, East US 30 and East Van Ness Road, Pierceton. Drivers: Pedro Sarabia, 24, Center Street, Warsaw; Keshia Warnken, 33, Clinic Street, Warsaw; Mariah Endress, 19, North 100th Avenue, Galva, Ill.; and Lindsay Koladin, 36, CR 50, Syracuse. A piece of furniture fell from Sarabia’s vehicle into the roadway. When Sarabia went to retrieve it, a collision occurred between Warnken’s, Endress’ and Koladin’s vehicles. Damage up to $50,000. Keshia Warnken and her passenger, Kai Warnken,1, were transported to KCH for injuries.

Pierceton

Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:

• 12:16 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, US 30 and SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: Sierra Lemmlein, 25, Darwood Grove, New Haven; and Stephanie Smith, 41, Arbor Crossing Drive, Granger. Lemmlein’s vehicle rear ended Smith’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

• 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, North Parker Street and East Main Street, Warsaw. Harrison Vining, 22, CR 700W, Mentone; and Elizabeth Cauhorn, 30, Boulder Drive, Warsaw. Vining’s vehicle and Cauhorn’s vehicle collided. Damage up to $10,000.
• 4:10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, Eastlake Drive and Pioneer Lane, Warsaw. Drivers: Nubia Sanchez, 43, Oak Pointe Crossing, Warsaw; and Kathy Dawson, 65, Runkle Drive, Warsaw. Sanchez’s vehicle and Dawson’s vehicle collided. Damage up to $5,000.
• 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, South Zimmer Road and White Industrial Drive, Warsaw. Unknown vehicle struck a railroad crossing arm. Damage up to $5,000.

Marshall County

Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

• 5:12 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 5000 block Michigan Road, Plymouth. Driver: Shane Bolinger, 44. Bolinger’s vehicle left the roadway after crossing over the south bound lanes and struck a brick mailbox. When found, Bolinger was unresponsive and not breathing. Life saving measures were attempted, but were ultimately unsuccessful and Bolinger was pronounced dead at the scene.
