WARSAW — The Warsaw Redevelopment Commission approved an agreement with financial firm, Baker Tilly, for the Owen’s and Marsh expansions of the Central TIF at its meeting held on Monday, Aug. 7.
The commission also signed a separate agreement with Baker Tilly for the Gatke property.
Baker Tilly will come alongside the city and help work through any necessary bonds or financial advisement needed during the TIF expansion process.
There were two public hearings held before the commission at the meeting, the first being a resolution for the Gatke allocation area and the second was a resolution for the Warsaw Central Development area. These public hearings are required when expanding TIFs.
The disposal of the Washington Street property for the Owen’s redevelopment project was also approved at the meeting. After completing all of the necessary steps and receiving no bids on the property, this action will allow the city to dispose of the property when it comes time.
Warsaw Community and Economic Development Director Jeremy Skinner gave an update saying there will be a walk through of the Marsh property with Ram development on Wednesday, Aug. 9, followed by a commercial tour of the area. Skinner said he is hopeful for the tour and the potential it holds for the community.
