BRISTOL — Elkhart Civic Theatre, also known as ECT and the Comedy Deli will present its Comedy 101 winner’s night at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, August 19, Bristol Opera House, 210 E. Vistula St., Bristol.

The evening will showcase professional comics Kay Banks, Christopher Gathright, along with the winner of ECT’s comedy 101 competition, Brian Wells. Comedy 101 competitor Blair Gingerich will MC and Comedy Deli founder Brad Miller will stage manage.

About The Comics:

Kay Banks is a Fort wayne comedian who talks about her experiences of family life and the complexities that can happen daily. She has featured for Fountain Square in Indianapolis and has also featured at The Miller Beach performance theater in Gary.

Christopher Gathright has been touring the country as a stand-up for over a decade making audiences laugh from coast-to-coast. His brash style and edge of decorum delivery are backed by incredibly intelligent humor that keep audiences laughing all over the nation. Chris has worked with Bert Kreischer, Dave Attell, and many others.

Brian Wells is an up-and-coming star in the Midwest comedy community. Recently winning the Comedy 101: Couch to Stage Comedy Competition at the Bristol Opera House, he has set himself apart from his peers with his playful, yet edgy stage presence. He’s quickly gaining traction at clubs and theaters throughout the region.

Blair Gingerich found her comedy roots in Northern Indiana as a wife, mother and pharmacist. She recently placed second in the Comedy 101 Competition at the Bristol Opera House. Her matter-of-fact and biting humor about family, friends, and the public have coined her the title of venting queen. She performs in clubs and on stages throughout the region.

Comedy 101 classes are offered by ECT and the Comedy Deli for those interested in developing skills as standup comedians. The classes are taught by veterans Brad Miller, Otis Boggs and Sean Shenk.
