Powerball Ticket Worth $1 Million Sold In Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS — The winning ticket for the huge billion-dollar Powerball jackpot on Wednesday, July 19, was sold in California, but there were other big winners around the country, too — including a $1 million ticket that was sold in Indiana.
Hoosier Lottery officials said the ticket was sold at a liquor store in Carmel, according to central Indiana media.
Tickets worth $1 million match all four white balls, and a total of 36 such tickets were sold across the country for Wednesday’s drawing, according to the Powerball website.
Three $2 million tickets were also sold, in Florida, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island, Powerball said. Additionally, there were also 195 tickets that won $50,000 prizes, and 62 tickets that won $100,000 prizes.
