New Fort Wayne Renter Neighborhood Opens Doors
News Release
FORT WAYNE — Fort Wayne city officials have cut the ribbon to signal the completion of a new neighborhood which features 250 single-family rental homes.
Next Chapter Neighborhoods, the project developer, created Dupont Meadows with an investment of $57 million based on a concept popularized in the southeast. The neighborhood are geared toward renters and the population of Americans who choose to rent but wants something bigger than an apartment.
The neighborhood is designed like other suburban areas: sidewalks, lampposts and front porches. Houses range from one to four bedrooms, and have vaulted ceilings, granite countertops and a garage. Other amenities include an outdoor kitchen, a pool, pickleball courts and a fitness center.
Next Chapter Neighborhoods have constructed similar neighborhoods in North Augusta, South Carolina, and the suburbs of Savannah Georgia. Over 150 workers were instrumental in the construction of this project.
