AKRON — Renovations and additions at Tippecanoe Valley High School are continuing to move along.
The Tippecanoe Valley School Board heard that news at its monthly public work session on Thursday, July 13, from The Skillman Corp. Project Manager Scott Rogers. The Skillman Corp. is the construction management company for the project.
Part of the work completed in the last month is one of the load-bearing masonry walls for the new auditorium.
“Outside of that, we’re continuing inside the locker room renovation, only really working on that as rain days happen when the masons aren’t so focused on (other things),” said Rogers.
“Then at the pool, we have that opened back up, and the site contractor … they’re going to go in there, and start taking out all of the rest of the concrete, to get it ready for pouring concrete here in the next week or two,” he added.
Other work done in the last month includes HVAC piping.
In the next month, crews should keep putting in walls for the auditorium and begin concrete work for risers there.
The board’s regular meeting is 6 p.m. Monday, July 17, at Mentone Elementary School.
