WARSAW — The Kosciusko Community YMCA’s Parkview Warsaw YMCA location now has another activity to offer people.
The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon-cutting on Friday, July 14, to celebrate the completion of the K21 Sports Complex. Its name is due to the K21 Health Foundation giving more than $400,000 for the project.
It features two enclosed five-on-five turf soccer fields, where people may also play volleyball, dodgeball and other sports. The see-through sides allow parents to watch their kids play, said Kosciusko Community YMCA CEO Jim Swanson.
A fence around the whole complex still needs to be installed, with a special archway to bear the complex’s name.
Participants in the YMCA’s sports leagues, both YMCA members and nonmembers, will use the complex, said YMCA representatives Friday, with them hoping to add some non-league play as well.
