WARSAW — The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club recently donated $3,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana to support programs in Kosciusko County.
Tammy Smith, the director of community development for Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Kosciusko branch, thanked the club for its ongoing support and recognized that there are numerous wonderful youth-serving nonprofit organizations in the county to support. “It is an honor that the club continues to support Big Brothers Big Sisters each year,” said Smith.
Since 2016, the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club has chosen to support Big Brothers Big Sisters with donations totaling $23,550 over the course of seven years.
“The Optimist Club is about helping the youth of our community, and Big Brothers Big Sisters leads the way in making a difference in the lives of young people that need it the most,” said Chris Plack, the club president. “As president of the WBOC I know I speak for all of our members when I say that we are proud and honored to continue partnering with BBBS for years to come.”
The $3,000 will go toward a sponsorship for Big Brothers Big Sisters’ annual Kosciusko fundraiser, The Big Celebration. To learn more about the Optimist Club, visit https://warsawoptimist.org/about.
