Fort Wayne’s Parkview Health Earns ‘Most Loved’ Workplace Certification
News Release
FORT WAYNE — Parkview Health has become certified as a “Most Loved Workplace,” backed by the research and analysis of the Best Practice Institute. Most Loved Workplace validation provides a comprehensive look at workplace sentiment for organizations.
Parkview has been certified as a certified Most Loved Workplace because of its commitment to a positive workplace culture, according to a news release. Beyond providing jobs serving the health needs of the community, Parkview invests in employees’ professional development, physical and emotional wellness and work-life balance “to create a well-supported workforce dedicated to providing excellent care for every person, every day,” according to Parkview Health.
“Being certified as a Most Loved Workplace is a direct result of Parkview’s culture of excellence,” said Rick Henvey, chief executive officer, Parkview Health. “The support we provide our co-workers is reflected in the high-quality care they provide to our patients. We are proud of this achievement as it will help us continue attracting and retaining the most talented workforce in health care.”
Parkview solicits feedback from employees about their job satisfaction, loyalty and engagement. This year, Parkview launched its first-ever companywide culture survey to continue gathering insight and better support employees with the tools needed for daily activities, growth and development. More than 90% of employees agreed they were proud to work for Parkview.
“Parkview aims to provide the best care to patients, so it’s only natural that we aim to provide the highest level of care to our more than 15,000 co-workers carrying out that mission every day,” said Dena Jacquay, chief administrative officer, Parkview Health. “Being named a Most Loved Workplace is validation that those efforts have been successful in creating a culture that makes us not only the region’s largest employer, but also a best employer.”
Most Loved Workplace certifies companies where employees are the happiest and most satisfied at work. Parkview became certified as a Most Loved Workplace based on its scores on the Love of Workplace Index, which surveyed employees on various elements around employee satisfaction and sentiment, including the level of respect, collaboration, support and sense of belonging they feel inside the company.
“I started Most Loved Workplaces out of inspiration from my community of people who consciously place love for their employees at the center of their business model,” said Louis Carter, founder and chief executive officer of the Best Practice Institute and a social/organizational psychologist, thought leader, entrepreneur and author. Carter’s book, “In Great Company: How to Spark Peak Performance by Creating an Emotionally Connected Workplace,” identifies the specific areas needed to become a highly respected, reputable organization where people love to work with each other.
“Parkview Health is definitely in great company with other certified Most Loved Workplaces. I commend them for not only creating a positive workplace culture, but also for seeking this certification to see how their efforts are making an impact,” Carter said.
