Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 4:05 p.m. Sunday, July 9, South Paxton Drive, north of South Clover Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Benjamin C. Jackson, 18, South Woodfield Trail, Warsaw. Jackson was backing his vehicle from a driveway when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 12:54 p.m. Saturday, July 8, North Cheyenne Drive, north of East Mohawk Drive, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. An unknown driver rear-ended a parked vehicle owned by PV Holding Corp., Chicago, Ill., and left the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
- 12:34 a.m. Saturday, July 8, East CR 225S, east of South Packerton Road, Warsaw. Driver: Amelia M. Anders, 16, South CR 275E, Warsaw. Anders’ vehicle left the roadway, entering a field. Her vehicle overturned multiple times and she sustained minor injuries to her feet. Anders was treated at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.
- 7:37 p.m. Friday, July 7, North CR 300E, north of East CR 1300N, Milford. Drivers: Danny W. Groner, 76, Golden Pheasant Drive, Osceola; and Eldon R. Chupp, 75, North West Street, Milford. Groner’s vehicle entered the North CR 300E and East CR 1300N intersection, hitting Chupp’s vehicle. This caused Chupp’s vehicle to leave the roadway and enter a pond. Groner complained of back pain. Two passengers in Groner’s vehicle also sustained injuries. Doreen L. Groner, 49, Mishawaka, complained of neck pain. Arlene F. Groner, 75, Osceola, complained of chest pain. Chupp also complained of back pain. The Groners were all taken to Goshen Hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
- 10:17 a.m. Friday, July 7, South SR 25, east of South CR 450W, Warsaw. Driver: Travis W. Mast, 40, CR 40, Goshen. An unknown driver sideswiped Mast’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 9:52 p.m. Thursday, July 6, South SR 13, south of South CR 525E, Pierceton. Driver: Melissa A. Shepherd, 44, South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Shepherd’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
- 6:09 p.m. Thursday, July 6, South Country Club Road, south of East CR 400S, Warsaw. Drivers: Nicholas P. Shepherd, 38, East Hendricks Street, Warsaw; and Susannah J. Shankster, 48, East CR 900S, Claypool. Shepherd’s vehicle entered the East CR 400S and South Country Club Road intersection, hitting Shankster’s vehicle. Shepherd sustained injuries to his right lower arm but refused treatment. Damage up to $25,000.
- 3:39 p.m. Thursday, July 6, South Country Club Road, south of East CR 400S, Warsaw. Driver: Delores M. Gaylord, 72, East CR 450S, Warsaw. Gaylord’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting a mailbox and flipping into a bean field. Gaylord was checked by medics at the scene. Damage up to $10,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 3:09 p.m. Thursday, July 6, South Huntington Street, north of West Bowser Road, Syracuse. Drivers: Lois M. Waggoner, 60, Meadow View Drive, Syracuse; and Makena S. Harrison, 19, North SR 25, Rochester. Waggoner’s vehicle rear-ended Harrison’s. Waggoner was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital for minor elbow and lower arm injuries. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:29 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 1013 N. Long Drive, Syracuse. Drivers: Jack D. Spitler, 81, North Kern Road, Syracuse; and Justin E. Patrick, 32, North CR 100E, Milford. Spitler backed his vehicle into Patrick’s. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 4:49 p.m. Sunday, July 9, US 30, near Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Carter T. Kreft, 18, East Old Road 30, Warsaw; and Ashley M. Cytlak, 22, Olympia Road, Valparaiso. Kreft’s vehicle sideswiped Cytlak’s. Damage up to $2,500.
- 1:07 p.m. Sunday, July 9, US 30, west of Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Donald L. King, 75, North Sullivan Road, Leesburg. King’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:44 a.m. Sunday, July 9, Hepler Drive, south of Tippecanoe Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Kane E. Hively, 36, Mineral Springs Avenue, Winona Lake. Hively’s vehicle hit a Nipsco utility pole. He left the scene but was later located. Damage up to $25,000.
- 5:22 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 534 W. 300N, Warsaw. Driver: Jeffery S. Davis, 30, North CR 700W, Warsaw. Davis was attempting to back his vehicle into a parking space when he hit a parked vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 4:18 p.m. Saturday, July 8, US 30, near South Circle Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Jasmine M. Fitzpatrick, 30, South Lake Street, Warsaw; and Cristin A. Drake, 28, West CR 200S, Warsaw. Fitzpatrick was attempting to travel south across the US 30 and South Circle Drive intersection when she entered Drake’s path of travel. Fitzpatrick complained of pain to her elbow and lower arm area. She was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital for further treatment. Drake was checked by medics at the scene for hip and upper leg pain. Damage up to $50,000.
- 12:38 p.m. Saturday, July 8, South SR 15, near East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Carter A. Besson, 26, East Hendricks Street, Warsaw; and Carey A. Skoglund, 63, Cambridge Lane, Wheaton, Ill. Besson disregarded a red light, hitting Skoglund’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:07 p.m. Friday, July 7, North Lake Street, north of West Pike Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Sydney D. Youkey, 21, West CR 500N, Huntington; and Jillian M. Howell, 42, 12th Road, Bourbon. Youkey’s vehicle pulled into the path of travel of Howell’s vehicle. Howell complained of collarbone and neck pain, but refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $10,000.
- 1:18 p.m. Friday, July 7, Laurelwood Drive, south of Nuthatch Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Andrew R. Lecount, 38, East Armstrong Road, Leesburg. The arm extensions on the garbage truck Lecount was driving hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:36 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2234 E. Center St., Warsaw. Driver: Leonard S. Zeglicz, 68, South CR 200W, Silver Lake. Zeglick was backing his vehicle when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 3:13 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 5200 N. 200W, Rochester. Driver: Sara E. Ringer, 22, Rochester. Ringer’s vehicle hit a deer.
- 5:22 p.m. Thursday, July 6, US 31 and Southway, Rochester. Driver: Michael M. Kennedy, 66, Peru. Kennedy’s motorcycle hit a coyote.
