Annabel Jean Marshall, 86, of Mentone, passed on Wednesday, July 6, 2023, at her residence.

Annabel was born on Sept. 28, 1936, in Kosciusko County to the late Charles and Velma (Smith) Horn. In 1956, she married Alton Devon Marshall; they parted ways, but she continued her relationship being his caregiver for many years. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2019.

She was a graduate of Talma High School in 1954. In years past, she worked for Midwest Spring and Boggs and Nelson Insurance Agency, both of Mentone. She was a longtime attender of the Mentone Church of Christ.

Annabel was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Devon; sons, Allen D. Marshall and Gary Marshall; brothers, Dale Horn and Robert Horn; and sisters, Jeanette Clementson, Doris Newcomer and Donna Arven.

Following her wishes, no services will be held at this time. A private burial will take place in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.

The arrangements have been entrusted to King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone.
