WARSAW — Summer is in full swing at the Warsaw Community Public Library as we continue with the summer reading challenge and have many activities to offer the whole family in July.
Check out the event calendar at warsawlibrary.org for activities like Stories in the Park, held at 11 a.m. every Thursday at the Winona Lake Limitless Park. Every Friday, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 3:30-5:30 p.m., preschool activity stations will be offered as a come-and-go style event at the library.
Other activities for children will include Busy Bricks at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1; Kids Yoga at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15; and Roz Puppets at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26.
The library offers a variety of activities for teens. A creative writing workshop that will focus on short stories, skits and poetry is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, July 6. Teens can build and race a mini-kart at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 20; advance registration is required. The drop-in zone will continue for gamers from 3:30-5 p.m. Tuesday, July 25.
There will be a family trivia and sing-a-long activity at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 18. The event is open to the whole family. If you are a fan of animation, you will enjoy sharing that knowledge with others and letting loose by singing some well-loved songs.
Summer is a nice time to be outside but also a good time to enjoy some air-conditioned activities. The library is a great place to have fun this summer.
