Officers Looking For Driver Involved In Marshall County Buggy Accident

BREMEN — Law enforcement in Marshall County are looking for the driver of a tan SUV who fled the scene of a rear-end collision involving a horse and buggy.
Around 4:03 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a call about an accident on SR 331, near 3B Road. A tan-in-color SUV was traveling south on SR 331 and rear-ended a horse and buggy, with the SUV fleeing the scene and failing to stop.
Two occupants in the buggy, John E. Schwartz and Ester Schwartz, were taken by EMS for evaluation and treatment.
The SUV is believed to be a 2006-2011 tan-in-color Buick Rainier. The vehicle would have damages to the front passenger side, particularly the front passenger headlight area. Those with information related to this vehicle or its driver are asked to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
Also assisting at the scene were the Bremen Police Department, Bremen Fire Department, and Bremen EMS.
