WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested for allegedly battering a child.
Robi Arizona Hatcher, 23, 201 S. Detroit St. Apartment 140, Warsaw, is charged with battery to a person less than 14 years of age resulting in bodily injury, a level 5 felony.
On June 1, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a battery report. A woman said a child had spent the day with some friends. When the child returned home, she noticed the child had fresh scratch marks on their torso.
According to court documents, the officer noticed the child had scratches on their chest, back and arms. The child was also suffering from body tremors.
The child told the officer they were at Hatcher’s residence and were playing with other children when Hatcher got mad at them and pushed them.
Hatcher said the children were throwing a ball around in her home when she yelled at the child to try and get them to stop. She denied touching the child.
For this case, Hatcher has already been arrested and released on bond. She has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Monday, June 19, in Kosciusko Superior Court Two.
