Hernandez Arrested For Threatening, Battering Woman

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested for allegedly attempting to use a knife in a domestic dispute with a woman.
Carlos Hernandez, 58, 340 E. Levi Lee Road Lot 105, Warsaw, is charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon and domestic battery while armed with a deadly weapon, both level 5 felonies; and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony.
On Feb. 27, 2022, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a battery report in Warsaw. A woman reported Hernandez was battering her and threatening to kill her.
Hernandez left the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival.
According to court documents, the woman said Hernandez attempted to use a knife to stab her. He also punched the woman repeatedly with a closed fist and threatened to kill her.
The woman also said Hernandez allegedly hit her several times in the head, right arm, back, and lower abdomen.
The deputy noticed a lump on the right side of the woman’s head.
Hernandez was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on May 25, 2023, with an $11,000 surety and cash bond.
