Warsaw Breakfast Optimists Holding Sprint Triathlon June 24
WINONA LAKE — The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club will host its 30th Sprint Triathlon beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at 1590 Park Ave., Winona Lake.
The event is expected to attract athletes from all over who will compete in an action-packed event that combines swimming, cycling and running into a test of endurance. Participants will dive into the quarter-mile swim, followed by a 13-mile bike ride through Winona Lake and ultimately conquer a 5-kilometer run.
The Sprint Triathlon is a licensed USAT event that has been organized by the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club since 1994.
“We are proud to host the Sprint Triathlon in Winona Lake,” said Chris Plack, president of the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club. “This event embodies the spirit of our community, promoting active lifestyles and fostering a sense of camaraderie among athletes. It’s an opportunity for individuals to challenge themselves and push their boundaries.”
The Sprint Triathlon accommodates participants of all skill levels, from newcomers to seasoned triathletes, with various divisions available, including individual and relay options. Participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
