WARSAW — Main Street Warsaw now has a trailer to store and haul equipment wherever it needs to go, thanks to a donation from a local company.
Lauren Klusman, Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce director of marketing and communications, explained, “It’s to be used for Third Friday events, downtown events. It will be used for some Chamber events.”
She said the trailer was donated by G & G Hauling & Excavating, and wrapped by Blue Ribbon Digital.
The trailer will be used for the check-in spot for Third Fridays.
“So we’ll have it open and our staff will be in there to tell people where to go. It’ll just be like the central spot. More than likely, most Third Fridays, it’ll be (located) centrally over here (by the intersection of Buffalo and Center streets),” Klusman said. “We’ll have all of our stuff in it to keep it all together so we don’t have to go up and down the stairs from the basement of City Hall a million times.”
She said Main Street Warsaw and the Chamber has needed one for a while, and G & G was generous to donate it.
Chamber President and CEO Rob Parker said they just got the trailer Friday so the Fat & Skinny Tire Fest was the first event for the trailer.
Krista Campbell, G & G Hauling & Excavating, said, “On behalf of the owners of G & G, Cary Groninger and Rich Groninger, we wanted to donate to the city of Warsaw to help you with your events for the Third Friday. And community is an important part of G & G, it’s one of our core values, and we hope you enjoy the trailer.”
