Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 2:44 p.m. Sunday, May 21, SR 15, near East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Hanna R. Kammerer, 30, Brubaker Street, Leesburg; and Eric M. Shafer, 40, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Shafer had a green light at the East Main Street and SR 15 intersection when his vehicle was hit by Kammerer’s. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:09 p.m. Saturday, May 20, East Jefferson Street, near South McKinley Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Cassie D. Williams, 24, North Nappanee Street, Nappanee; Robert R. Tackett, 26, Pine Mills Road, Warsaw; and Kelsey S. Harper, 19, West Monoquet Road, Warsaw. Williams stopped at the East Jefferson Street and South McKinley Street intersection, but did not see Tackett’s vehicle traveling east on East Jefferson Street. Harper was traveling west on East Jefferson Street at the time of the accident and her vehicle sustained damage. A passenger in Tackett’s vehicle, Hannah N. Hyde, 20, Warsaw, complained of leg and chest pain. Hyde was taken to Parkview Hospital. Williams was later arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Damage up to $25,000.
- 1:23 p.m. Saturday, May 20, East Market Street, near South McKinley Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Anwar J. Eaton, 30, Hawley Drive, Indianapolis; and Sarah A. O’Cock, 21, 3rd Street, Winona Lake. Eaton’s vehicle stopped at the South McKinley Street and East Market Street intersection, but did not see O’Cock’s vehicle traveling east on East Market Street. O’Cock had a minor cut on her lip and was treated by medics at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.
- 2:55 p.m. Friday, May 19, SR 15, near Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jennifer M. Klingler, 46, Laurelwood Drive, Elkhart; and Ashton M. Stookey, 22, North Sawgrass Lane, Leesburg. Klingler’s vehicle turned in front of Stookey’s, resulting in a head-on collision. Damage up to $25,000.
- 12:12 p.m. Friday, May 19, North SR 15, north of Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Macayla N. Brock, 19, Old Colony Road, Warsaw; and Joshua A. Guillemette, 18, South Paxton Drive, Warsaw. Brock’s vehicle rear-ended Guillemette’s. Brock complained of chest pain and a passenger in her vehicle, Hunter A. Poor, 20, Warsaw, complained of knee pain. An infant in Brock’s vehicle, Houston Poor, Warsaw, was checked at the scene because of his age. Damage up to $10,000.
