On June 2, 2022, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a burglary in Milford. A woman said she came home and noticed her residence’s front door was locked but ajar. Upon entering the home, the woman noticed items had been stolen.
According to court documents, the stolen items included three video game consoles, a laptop, tools, a camera, and two firearms.
A KCSO detective discovered several of the woman’s belongings were pawned at various locations by Hepler and Pierce.
On June 24, 2022, a Milford Police officer interviewed Hepler, who said she and Pierce broke into a home. Hepler said she stole the two firearms while Pierce stole the other items.
Hepler told the officer she sold the firearms. Pierce was contacted about the incident but refused to speak with law enforcement.
Hepler was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on May 9, 2023, with an $11,000 surety and cash bond.
A warrant was issued for Pierce’s arrest on April 25, 2023.
