WARSAW — New this year, BMX bikes will be allowed at specific times at Mantis Skate Park, 400 Little League Drive, according to the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department.

Mantis Skate Park’s regular days and hours of operation when school is in session are 4-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 20-29 and Aug. 14 through Sept. 1. During the summer, the park is regularly open noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday from May 30 through Aug. 12.

BMX bike hours at Mantis are set for 4-6 p.m. Monday and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday when school is in session, and from 4-6 p.m. Monday, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and noon to 2 p.m. Friday during the summer.

An annual waiver and emergency contact form will be required for each participant. Participants under the age of 18 may have a parent or guardian complete the forms. The forms can be found on the city website at warsaw.in.gov/225/mantis-skate-park or can be completed in person during open hours at Mantis Skate Park. Helmets must be worn at all times.
