Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 9:57 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, West CR 200N, west of North CR 500W, Warsaw. Drivers: Richard A. Fites, 69, Birch Road, Bourbon; and Greg A. Swanson, 68, North CR 600W, Warsaw. Fites was attempting to back his vehicle into a field when his vehicle was hit by Swanson’s. Damage up to $50,000.
- 9:31 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, East CR 500N, east of North CR 700E, Warsaw. Driver: Gregory D. Church, 61, EMS C19C Lane, Warsaw. Church’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:27 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, West CR 900N, east of North SR 15, Milford. Driver: Madison T. McClintic, 19, North Sawgrass Lane, Leesburg. David G. Price, Leesburg, was driving a tractor when he rear-ended McClintic’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 4:22 p.m. Friday, May 5, North Second Street, south of West Wayne Street, Pierceton. Driver: James A. Hastings, 40, North First Street, Pierceton. Hastings said he felt something hit his car. He looked in his mirror and saw a child who had been skateboarding. The child, Delila Shepler, 8, Pierceton, said she ran into the side of Hastings’ vehicle. Shepler sustained abrasions to her left shoulder, upper arm, and left ankle. She was taken to a local hospital by her family. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 9:07 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, North Parker Street, near US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Jacob R. Ridgeway, 25, North Walnut Way, Marion; and Allysia K. Miller, 31, Pine Cone Lane, Warsaw. A sideswipe collision occurred between Ridgeway and Miller’s vehicles. Damage up to $5,000.
