North Webster Man Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Golf Cart

LEESBURG — A North Webster man was recently arrested after allegedly stealing a golf cart from a residence.
Dwayne Allen Cooper Jr., 37, 411 S. East St., North Webster, is charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
On April 21, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a theft of a golf cart from a Leesburg residence. The golf cart was valued at $8,000.
The next day, the golf cart’s owner was told by a local storage facility owner about surveillance footage from the facility showing a golf cart being towed by a car on April 21.
On April 25, a KCSO detective and North Webster Police officers watched the surveillance footage and identified the car’s driver as Cooper.
For this case, Cooper was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on May 4, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
