Kosciusko YMCA Offers ‘What Can I Eat’ For Those With Type 2 Diabetes
News Release
WARSAW — The Kosciusko Community YMCA is bringing back “What Can I Eat,” a nutrition-based support program designed by the American Diabetes Association and supported by Bento, a digital health startup organization.
The program helps people living with type 2 diabetes eat their way to better diabetes control.
Throughout the six-week program, participants will receive a free resource box and two grocery gift carts that can be used to prepare meals through planning and budgeting. Each participant will also receive hands-on training to better manage blood glucose and will work with interactive content to learn to prepare meals.
The program is free for anyone in the community living with type 2 diabetes, who has internet access, can receive SMS messages and is able to pick up their grocery orders from participating stores.
