Shown is the team’s mascot, Scooter, who was named after team motor-coach owner Daryl “Scooter” Kauffman. Kauffman’s dream was to be part of a baseball team and according to the team’s website, he was “an early supporter of the Elkhart County Miracle vision.” Kauffman was laid to rest in February 2020, after a four-year battle with cancer.
