WARSAW — Bar’lon salon and Mirabilia Massage are back in their original location in Warsaw.
The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce had ribbon-cuttings for the two on Tuesday, May 9, to celebrate their return to 215 E. Center St.
The businesses had to move to a temporary location at 120 E. Center St., Suite 204, Warsaw, nearby due to a fire that happened in December 2022.
Bar’lon owner Crystal Reed said the blaze, which originated an in upstairs apartment, resulted in smoke and water damage to the businesses’ building.
“It was completely gutted down to the studs, and everything was sprayed and rebuilt,” she said.
Bar’lon offers haircuts and related services for men only, with a full list shown on its website crystalsbarlon.com.
“We don’t do any chemical services,” she noted. “We’re more into pampering the customer and making them feel like it’s not just a haircut.”
Bar’lon is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. The shop’s other stylist, Bryte Cleveland, also offers appointments on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
To set up an appointment, men may call (574) 376-4016.
Both men and women may schedule a massage by Mirabilia Massage’s Phyllis Brandenberger, who specializes in therapeutic ones. Her hours run about the same as Bar’lon’s, with people able to call (574) 528-0474 for appointments.
“It’s amazing to be back in the building,” said Reed. “It’s really nice. We love being part of downtown, and although we were still part of downtown, we didn’t really feel we got to see all the action, so it’s nice to be on the first floor and see the action again.”
