Terre Haute Casino Construction Sees Progress

TERRE HAUTE — The Terre Haute Casino Resort is continuing to see progress from their June 2022 breaking ground ceremony. The casino, owned by Churchill Downs Inc., also known as CDI, is planning to open in early 2024, according to press releases given by the company.
After its completion, the $290 million Terre Haute Casino Resort will include
- 1,000 slot machines.
- 35 table games, such as black jack, craps, roulette, and poker tables.
- A 122 room Luxury hotel with pool.
- A state of the art Twinspires Sports Book.
- Five Restaurants.
- Six Bars.
CDI has made it clear that their priority is with the guests and to customize the casino resort to their guests’ ultimate satisfaction. One instance where this is evident is their plans to have the pool on the rooftop have now changed to having it on the main floor according to General manager Mike Rich.
Rich emphasized that he wants this to be a space for all of Terre Haute to enjoy. This casino is expected to bring over 500 jobs to the area between both full time and part time, as well as up to 1,000 construction jobs.
