WARSAW — Multiple fire departments responded to a barn fire northeast of Claypool on Friday afternoon.

Around 1:45 p.m. Friday, May 5, Claypool Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed barn fire at 4494 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, north of Fish Lake. According to Kosciusko County Beacon GIS, the property is owned by Vana Dell Farms Inc.

Winona Lake Fire Department and Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded with full assists. Silver Lake Fire Department assisted at the scene with a tanker.

Pierceton Fire Department was also placed on standby for Winona Lake.

Roads near the fire are temporarily closed while crews respond.
