Kenneth O. Truman, 92, of Winona Lake, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Stillwater Hospice Care, Fort Wayne.

Kenneth was born Nov. 2, 1930, in Warsaw, the son of (the late) Owen B. and Edna (Weirick) Truman. He was united in marriage to Sally (Aker) Truman on Dec. 21, 1952; she survives.
He was a 1948 graduate of Warsaw High School, a 1952 graduate of Ball State University, and attended graduate school at Notre Dame University in 1954 after his commitment to the Army was completed. He served in the Adjutant General’s Corps of the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 and was honorably discharged at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
He was one of the owner/operators of Warsaw Plating Works Inc. for 46 years, retiring as the president and chief executive officer in 2001. He served on the Warsaw City Council during one of Mayor Mike Hodges’ administrations, from 1972 to 1974.
Kenneth enjoyed flying and had his private pilot’s rating. He owned and flew several different types of aircraft. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and held a membership at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club. Kenneth was a life member of the American Legion Post No. 49, Warsaw, and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Warsaw.
Kenneth will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years, Sally Truman, Winona Lake; sons, Mitchell B. (Denise) Truman, Leesburg, and Tracy J. Truman, North Webster; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his parents.
Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Brian Smith officiating.
